GS Paper & Packaging Group ("GSPP") is the number 1 player in the domestic containerboard segment and the largest integrated paper and packaging manufacturer in Malaysia with two paper mills with capacity of 270,000 tons and two box plants with capacity of 150,000 tons.

Founded in 1992, our Paper Mill and Packaging Plants have gained tremendous successes. Today, we are the market leader in terms of customer base, scale and technology of the production facilities. 

Our successes attracted CVC Capital Partners which led to their subsequent purchase of the Group on 24th July 2007 from Genting Sanyen.  CVC is one of the five largest private equity firms in the world and manages over US$23 billion in equity capital. CVC was founded in 1981 and today has a network of 18 offices throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. Since 1981, CVC has completed over 250 investments across a wide range of industries and countries. CVC's average investment size now ranges between US$75 million to US$1 billion.
